Humans have basically five bodies, not only physical body. Anandamaya Koshaincluding soul (Pursha) is called Bliss sheath (Karana Sharira) or causal body. Among the five sheaths, the wisdom, mind and energy sheaths constitute Linga Sharira. The foodstuff sheath is what I refer to as the physical body (in the narrow sense).

However, we see many documents in India which traditionally accept the concept that wisdom and mind-stuff sheaths constitute subtle body, and energy and foodstuff sheaths constitute gross body. That’s because energy and foodstuff sheaths are reconstituted at the time of death, while bliss, wisdom and mind-stuff sheaths remain as they are.

In theosophy, the four wisdom, mind-stuff, energy and foodstuff sheaths are called personality (lower ego) in a lump. On the other hand, soul (Pursha) is described as ego in theosophy and higher-self in channeling information.

The grossest sheath among the five sheaths is foodstuff sheath, that is, physical body (in the broad sense). This physical body is divided into light body, plasma body and physical body (in the narrow sense). In Taoism, light body and plasma body are called as Yan deity and Yin deity, respectively.

The physical body is divided into three layers: deep, middle and surface layers. What we call the physical body in our daily life means the surface layer of body (in the narrow sense). The middle and surface layers of body is the body when we have a dream.

In Tibetan Buddhism, there is the yoga of the dream state. As a result of practicing yoga to some degree, practitioners can consciouslybehave even in a dream in the same manner as in daily life. They sometimes have a dream while in a deep sleep. Please interpret it as meaning that they use their deep layer of body.

The three bodies composed of physical body (in the broad sense) exist in 3D. The 3D is divided into 7 layers. Light body act in the upper three layers while plasma body in the 4th layer and deep, middle and surface layers of body act in the 5th ,6th and 7th layer, respectively.

Some practitioners of Tibetan Buddhism who have out-of-body experience can consciously move around in plasma body. When they can freely move around in light body after continuing ascetic trainings, it is said in Tibetan Buddhism that they achieve “rainbow body.”

In Taoism, practitioners try to raise the vibration of narrowly-defined physical body to that of plasma body or light body by continuing ascetic trainings. When they can realize it, they reach ultimate goal of Taoism, disappearance in full view of everyone. Such practitioners slowly disappear while witnessed by many people. In other words, they can freely teleport themselves.

However, those who have achieved the final goal of disappearance in full view of everyone don’t go a single step out of the 3D. They actually had the out-of-the-body experience but never had out-of-Linga Shariraexperience.

The word ascension is often used in channeling-related information. However, a minimum requirement for ascension in the true sense is to have out-of- the-causal body experience. Even if this goal is achieved, liberation is far away from it.

Religions on Earth remain at significantly low levels like this. I do want to convey one way or the other how to achieve ascension, that is, liberation (evolutionary level of 4.0) through living properly while living an ordinary life.

I’d like to give advanced video lectures on religious science some day in the future, where I can convey how to achieve liberation.
