In another sign of just how corrupt the regime is, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s $40 billion bailout of Argentina’s “Lubavitcher” President Millei followed Bessent’s friend Robert Citrone’s hedge fund, which had earlier bought heavily discounted Argentine government debt (bought at 20% of value or less), a bad gamble unless he had inside information. Now Citrone can cash out his Argentine bonds at 100%, with the $40 billion from the U.S. taxpayer paying off these bonds and making a massive profit for Citrone, in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
